From our purpose built offices located in Scotton near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, we offer water services, civil engineering, mechanical & electrical installations/ commissioning, design feasibility, building construction, metal fabrication and mechanical workshop.
Our culture for having strong safety and environmental records, a positive approach, technical expertise, and professional delivery has been born from working on some prominent national water and construction industry projects, we provide a much valued service to AMP delivery partners in the water industry whilst also being a key direct service provider to Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent Services.
SBu are committed to a high level of on-going Health and Safety training and consider the safety of its employees and public as their number one priority, the implementation of a CITB approved 5 year rolling training plan enables our workforce to work effectively, efficiently and most importantly with safety at the forefront of their actions.
The company has implemented a URS certified Health & Safety Management System designed to meet or exceed the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001.
Each employee holds a Health and Safety accreditation card and the company also employs an external Safety Consultant who audits and inspects the work being carried out.
Through continuous monitoring of Health & Safety in the workplace, SBu have achieved a very respectable score average of 90% over the last 3 years from both internal and external Auditors.

The Company has implemented and maintain a URS certificated Environmental Management System designed to meet and/or exceed the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001: 2004 and committed to:

- Keeping ourselves aware of and compliant with all current and future legislation.
- Use water and energy efficiently and avoid pollution in all areas of our operations.
- Identify environmental risks and implement controls to manage those risks.
- Ensure our employees, subcontractors and suppliers are aware of this policy, and their responsibilities.
Our people will receive the appropriate levels of training and awareness to ensure that due emphasis is placed on the protection of the environment and site care/cleanliness.
